On the 21 of Jan, my mum, younger sis and i went for a taiping trip. our destination was to go up to the Maxwell hill aka Bkt Larut to see tulips...
Since taiping is far from here, need approximately 4- 5 hrs to reach thr from PD.
We have to start our journey very early in the morning in order to reach there before noon.
Gosh...we started our journey at 6am! yah, the driver was LATE! we
waited for almost one hr thr!!! (coz the organizer asked us to wait at 5am) quite frustrating...
the moment i went into the bus, surprisingly ~ majority are senior citizens...
only a small group are youngster ;P
i dint really know wat had happend after that, coz i fell asleep once i got into the bus ;P
By the time we reached taiping town was already 10am! the 1st thing she brought us to for sure is food stalls...
taiping is really food compare to here, rm2 you can have a plate of wan tan mee! and the portion is big too. After having our lunch there, we were heading to the maxwell hill. Unfortunately the time slot has full, we have to wait untill 3pm, oh no ~ wait again ;(
Without wasting anytime, organizer has decided to bring us to Taiping Zoo and Museum to fill in the 1 1/2 hr.
Taiping zoo is the 1st zoo in the Malaysia history, it has more than 180 species of animals. since we were in a hurry, we were not managed see the animals on foot. but with train. after visiting zoo, we headed to Meseum then our main intended destination, Maxwell Hill.
The hill is approximately 1250m above sea level and private vehicles are not allowed.
Therefore the authority there will provide the transportation service, 4-wheel jeep, for all the tourists who wish to go up. Each person is rm7, i think. 30-40 minutes are needed to reach to the top.
The road are steep, narrow, and bendy. small kids and senior citizen need to think twice before going up coz this might cause them feel dizzy and light-headed. some even vomitted on the way up.
on the way, you can witness the tropical jungle, greenish leaves and experience the fresh air...
The top of the hill fulled of evergreen and colourful flora. may be is because of the cool and fresh air/climate there.
We spent almost 1 hr up there to experience the great view from the hill and all the attractive flora. resting there was definitely relaxing and comfortable.
Out next station was to fill our empty stomach.
We headed to Ipoh to buying some local biscuits before going back home. By the time we reached was already 1am the followind day!
yeah, was tiring, but... feel worth!
